The regatta is open to boats owned or chartered by members in good standing of RHYC, with an RHYC member in good standing aboard while racing, or any other Sail Canada affiliated club with a member of the affiliated club aboard while racing. Boats registering to race in a PHRF division should possess a valid PHRF-LO certificate. Centreboard and multi-hull boats and boats without a valid PHRF-LO certificate will be assigned a handicap rating at the discretion of the Organizing Authority.

The entry fee is $25 (including HST) until midnight EDT on Thursday, Oct 10, 2024.
Registrations after midnight Thursday, October 10th, 2024, will be accepted on a best-efforts basis at the discretion of VC Yachting RHYC, subject to logistical considerations, i.e., handicap rating assignment. All such registrations shall be considered “late registrations.” All late registrants automatically agree to the mandatory donation of their poultry prize to Mission Services.

The Regatta will be a pursuit race format, with the boat with the highest PHRF-LO handicap starting first and the boat with the lowest handicap starting last.
The starting sequence will be posted on the official notice board at RHYC after registration is completed and available at the skippers' meeting.
The warning signal for the first boat(s) to start is scheduled for 1:25 p.m.

The skipper’s meeting will be held on the clubhouse patio at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024

THE COURSE
Racing will take place in the waters of Hamilton Harbour. One race is scheduled.
The sailing course will be announced on the regatta day via the skippers' meeting.
SCORING
Boats will be scored points equal to their finishing place. The Low Points System of RRS Appendix A will apply.
PRIZES AND AWARDS

Presentation of Prizes and Awards - Saturday afternoon post-race at RHYC Clubhouse.
Turkeys will be awarded to the first three boats in each fleet to sail the course and finish. Chickens will be awarded to all other boats sailing the course and finishing.

Please note that all boats registered before midnight EDT on October 10th will receive a prize. Every effort will be made to obtain prizes for boats that register after October 10th; however, the availability of prizes cannot be guaranteed.
